The answer is the Kabaddi World Cup. The 2025 edition was held in the United Kingdom, in Birmingham, England, and teams from India and other countries took part. Kabaddi is an Indian indigenous sport, so its World Cup being staged in the UK for the first time was widely covered in the news.
The other options do not fit. The Cricket World Cup in 2025 was the Women's edition, held in India and Sri Lanka, not in the UK. The Hockey World Cup 2023 was held in India (Odisha and Rourkela), so it does not match this event. The Badminton World Championships 2025 were held in Paris, France. Remember that the Kabaddi World Cup is organised under the International Kabaddi Federation, and India has been a dominant force in the sport, having won several editions of the tournament.
